Mounds View Festival in the Park 2017

The annual Mounds View Festival in the Park was once again well-attended Aug. 19. The warm and sunny day was perfect for residents to gather at City Hall Park to enjoy a day of fun. Events included the 11th annual Classic Car Show, parade, a variety of vendors, 5K run and bike races. Festival in the Park was completed with a performance by Jonah and the Whales and fireworks topped off the night. (Sun Focus staff photos by Sarah Burghardt)

The 11th annual Classic Car Show is a staple at the Mounds View Festival in the Park. The show featured cars and trucks of all years, makes and models. Mounds View Police Officer Nick Erickson and his K-9 Niko gave demonstrations at the Mounds View Festival in the Park. The crowd watched as Niko took down a “bad guy” to protect his partner.
