Back in March, the New Brighton City Council unanimously approved a term sheet and right-of-entry agreement with TÜV SÜD America to redevelop land in the New Brighton Exchange.

TÜV SÜD also recently donated to the development of the city’s first fully-accessible playground in Lions Park.

“Establishing this state-of-the art testing facility is part of our goal to grow our testing solutions footprint,” said TUV SUD America CFO Fabian Schober in a statement. “We certainly look forward to being a contributor to economic growth and job opportunities for the local community.”

The growth of TÜV SÜD America has been continual and consistent, started by a single employee in 1987 and now retaining more than 1,400 employees at over three dozen locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

The facility is expected to open by the end of the year or in the first quarter of 2018.
