Two injured in Fridley motorcycle crash

Two people were injured when a motorcycle driver hit a bicyclist early Sunday morning in Fridley, according to Fridley police.

The collision took place near the intersection of East River Road and 44th Street at about 1:30 a.m.

The driver of the 1994 Harley Davidson was arrested for probable cause DWI and Criminal Vehicular Operation. The driver has since been released with charges pending.

The adult female passenger of the motorcycle and the bicyclist suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to HCMC.

According to police, alcohol was a contributing factor in this crash.

Evidence collected at the scene suggests that the motorcycle had a green light at the time of the crash.
