MedExpress, a new urgent care clinic, opened its doors June 28 in Hilltop.
The clinic will offer walk-in care for everyday needs, including treatment for illness and injuries to more advanced offerings like x-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgeries, stitches and treatment for broken bones, and sprains and strains. Area employers can also use MedExpress for a host of employer health services including workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services include physicals, tobacco cessation counseling and flu shots to help patients maintain good health.
“We’re opening additional centers so patients in more communities can have access to our model of convenient affordable care, so we’re certainly excited to be able to serve more Minnesota communities,” MedExpress representative Ellen Dietrick said.
There are currently seven MedExpress clinics operating in Minnesota, with plans to open three additional clinics, including the Hilltop location, within the month of June.
“It’s our mission to provide affordable care, measuring success one patient at a time,” Dietrick said. “One of the ways that we do that is opening new centers in our neighborhoods and communities, so that healthcare is easily accessible and close to home.”
MedExpress accepts all major insurances, but also offers affordable pricing for those without insurance.
The Hilltop clinic will offer Spanish-translated materials, including booklets, pamphlets and brochures. Patients may also have the opportunity to speak with a bilingual staff member who can translate as needed. Translation services and technology are provided if no bilingual staff member is available.
The Hilltop MedExpress, 4880 Central Avenue NE, will be open everyday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m with no appointments necessary.
