MN DNR firearms safety/hunter education course

The Mounds View Police Department is sponsoring a Minnesota Firearms Safety/Hunter Education certification course.

The course consists of 17 hours of classroom and field experience in the safe handling of firearms, first aid, and hunter safety.

Classes will be held at Mounds View City Hall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April 11 to 27. By DNR standards, students must attend all class sessions to earn certification. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate that will allow him or her to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota.

Students must be at least 11 years old to register.
