Mounds View-Irondale-Roseville PI adapted hockey ends season at state

Falling in its two contests, Mounds-View-Irondale-Roseville physically impaired adapted hockey wrapped up it season at the state tournament on March 17-18.

The Rams (1-9) fell in the quarterfinals to state runner-up Brainerd-Pillager in a 17-3 loss at Bloomington Jefferson. Mark Lippert, a junior defender, had a hat trick with three goals for the Rams. Warriors senior forward Jake Heikkenen posted a game-high eight goals.

Rams sophomore goalie Luke Kostecky stopped 12 shots in the Friday, March 17 loss. Offensively, the Rams mustered 11 shots.

Dakota United shutout the Rams the next day 9-0 in the consolation semifinals. Kostecky garnered 17 saves in the Saturday, March 18 loss.
