SACA Food Shelf is hosting its annual fundraiser Hops for Hunger on Saturday, March 25.
Sponsored by premiere sponsor Financial One Credit Union, Hops for Hunger celebrates great local craft beers while raising money for the food shelf to help others in the community. The event will feature 21 local brewers with a selection of craft beers that cannot be found anywhere else.
The lineup includes: 10K Brewing, 56 Brewing, 612 Brew, Able Seedhouse + Brewery, Bad Weather Brewing, Barley John’s Brew Pub, Bauhaus Brew Labs, Bent Brewstillery, Boom Island Brewing, Broken Clock Brew Co-op, Dangerous Man Brewing, Fair State Brewing Cooperative, Inbound BrewCo, Indeed Brewing, Lakes and Legends Brewing, Modist Brewing, Northgate Brewing, Sociable Cider Werks, Tin Whiskers Brewing, Urban Growler Brewing and Wild Mind Artisan Ales.
Food will be available for purchase by Chowgirls Killer Catering. Music will be provided by Analog Drifters & The Traveling Mobury’s. Other activites include a silent auction and beer wall.
Now in its fifth year, this fundraiser has enabled SACA to buy over 500,000 pounds of food and fed over 26,000 families and households. The fundraiser has also been able to stock five in-school food shelves for students and provided over 2,100 holiday meals.
Hops for Hunger will be held from 5-8 p.m. on the third floor of the Solar Arts Building (upstairs from Indeed Brewing) in Northeast Minneapolis, 711 15th Avenue NE.

Each $40 ticket will allow SACA to purchase 340 pounds of food.
If a sober driver will be attending, $10 tickets are available for purchase at the event. Online ticket sales will stop at noon on March 25. Any remaining tickets will be for sale at the door. This is a 21-plus event.
