Local teen choosen for finalist in 2016 Miss Teen Pageant

Desiree Jean Swanson of Brooklyn Center was recently selected to participate in the 2016 Miss Teen Pageant competition taking place on Sunday, October 9th. Desiree will compete for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and speciality gifts distributed to contestants. Of the four age divisions, she will compete in the Miss Teen division.

If Desiree were to win the title of Miss Teen she would represent Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding communities at the National Pageant taking place in Orlando, Florida.

The community businesses, organizations, and private individuals sponsoring Desiree, which will allow the confidence and preparation for this year’s pageant are as follows: Eye Care Center, SIKORA’S Polish Market, Brookdale Health Experts in Auto Injuries, The Swanson Family, Dwayne and Mary Nelson, Roger and Deborah Krantz, Frank and Maryann Topar, Ramon Martinez and Michael and Linda Kari.
