Christ the King’s neighborhood block party

Christ the King Lutheran Church invites neighbors and members of the New Brighton area and beyond to its annual neighborhood block party on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 5-8 p.m.

The annual neighborhood gathering will feature live entertainment, inflatable attractions, face painting, wagon rides, and a free meal including hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, and DQ Dilly bars. This year’s block party is also bringing back the farmer’s market where fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers will be offered as a free gift to block party attendees.

For years, this event has been an visual way for Christ the King to welcome and give something back to the people from the surrounding neighborhoods. This year’s block party theme, “We Belong Together,” reminds everyone that though people may come from different places and believe different things, the community is stronger together than apart. The event is free and open to everyone.
