Niagara Foundation of Minnesota and First Lutheran Church invite the community to the 12th Annual Dialogue and Friendship Iftar.
The iftar is the breaking of a day’s fast at sundown during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Niagara Foundation’s annual dialogue iftar dinners bring people from different religious and cultural communities together to break fast and engage in friendly dialogue; it’s a way to stimulate mutual understanding and respect for others and their respective religious traditions.
Guests will hear from speakers, join in small group dialogue and enjoy a meal together. Halal and vegetarian meals will be served. Kosher meals can be ordered upon request.
This event, which is free and open to the public, will be 7:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at First Lutheran Church, 1555 40th Ave. NE, Columbia Heights.
RSVP is required. Go to niagarafoundation.org, Events, Minnesota, and click on 12th Annual Dialogue & Friendship Iftar Dinner-Minnesota.
