Curling lessons, leagues in Blaine
The Four Seasons Curling Club, a year-round curling club, will be opening with free learn-to-curl lessons at the Fogerty Arena in Blaine Jan. 2-5.
Enrollment for the lessons is limited. Each free lesson will be a two-hour introduction and instructional session teaching participants the basics of curling.

It’s very hands-on says John Benton, member of the USA 2010 Mens Olympic Curling Team and Fogerty’s director of curling. “Within minutes, participants will be throwing rocks and sweeping,” Benton said. “We’ll finish the session playing a mini game.”
Novice curlers will have the opportunity to enroll in a four-week instructional curling league. Actual 14-week inaugural leagues are open for registration with play beginning Jan. 6.
Anyone is invited to enroll from Novice to Olympian.
