Looking ahead
Many schools are gearing up for the start of their boys basketball season.
Local area schools that begin their boys basketball seasons this week are Columbia Heights who open up at Park Center Dec. 4 at 7 p.m., Fridley High School who plays at North High School in their opener Dec. 8 with a start time to be determined, and Totino-Grace who open up against Rogers on Dec. 11.
Nordic Skiing for both boys and girls is underway and will be held at Green Acres Recreation for the next two Tuesdays, meets begin at 3:45 p.m. Nordic Skiing’s big event, titled the “Holiday Relays” is scheduled for Dec. 22 at 9 a.m.at Troll Haugen Ski Area.
