Mounds View, Irondale compete in section swimming

The Mounds View Mustangs finished second in the Section 5AA swim and dive meet Saturday, Nov. 10, in Minnetonka.
Second-ranked Wayzata won with 659 points and the seventh-ranked Mustangs had 413.
Going to state are the Mounds View 200 medley relay team of McLaren Curphy, Maya Loewen, Sara Nelson and Emily Fleming, second place.
The Mounds View 200 freestyle relay team of Fleming, Maggie Lamere, Ellie Sache and Nelson earned state qualification by swimming third with a state qualifying time.
Kiley Kuether competed in diving. She finished third in the section.
McLaren Curphy competed in the 100 backstroke. She finished third but qualified on time.
Maya Loewen was second in the 100 breaststroke.
Irondale took seventh place with 99 points. No one from Irondale made it to state.
