Open house for Lambert Park in Mounds View Nov. 17
An open house to showcase the recent improvements at Lambert Park is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 17.
The improvements include a new shelter with a covered picnic pavilion, new playground, new baseball field and new irrigation system.
Lambert Park was reconfigured to better use the 3-acre site, including replacing the off-street parking lot with 23 dedicated on-street parking spaces to open up the park and provide more green space.
The new shelter will be open this winter for ice hockey and skating activities and is available for rental year-round. It includes features conducive to group gatherings such as a kitchenette, bathrooms and a large open area for picnicking and viewing youth activities. The new building minimizes maintenance and energy usage.
Lambert Park is at 5324 Jackson Drive in Mounds View, east of County Highway 10 and north of County Road H2.
