Northstar Ramsey station opens Nov. 14
Ramsey Station – the sixth suburban station on the Northstar Line – will open Wednesday, Nov. 14. Other stations are in Fridley, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Elk River and Big Lake.
To promote the new station, Northstar rides will be free from all stations Nov. 14-15. Metro Transit staff will be available at all stations those days to assist first-time customers and will also provide transfers to buses and the Hiawatha Line at Target Field Station.
From the Ramsey Station, commuters can get to downtown Minneapolis in about 35 minutes on weekdays. Weekday fare to/from Target Field Station is $3.50.
At the station, there’s free, secure and covered parking in attached ramp and free overnight parking (up to seven days) with a city permit. Bike lockers, plus restaurants and retail are nearby, and there is also service to all Vikings and Twins games.
