CVS Pharmacy robbed June 27 in Fridley
Fridley police offices were called 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, to the CVS Pharmacy, 5696 University Avenue on a report of a robbery at gunpoint.
According to reports from police, the suspect approached the pharmacy and jumped over the counter. The suspect ordered the pharmacist to open the narcotics safe, then took several bottles of Oxycodin and Vicadin, along with cash from the register.
No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s with dark brown hair, light beard and medium build. He was wearing jean shorts, a tan windbreaker jacket, a white and black T-shirt, a black baseball hat with a white insignia on the front, white tennis shoes and black work gloves. A silver revolver handgun was used during the incident.
The incident is being investigated by the Fridley Police Department and Anoka County Sheriff’s Department.
